When will I receive my order?

Your order will arrive within 5 - 10 business days after receiving your order confirmation email given that the item is in stock.  We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the email address you provided when checking out.

 What if the item is damaged from shipping?

If you notice any product damage upon receipt, please make note of it and send photos to support@mysaunablanket.com and we will process an insurance claim on your behalf.

What is "far infrared"?

Far infrared light is most commonly produced in our nature through sunlight.  This electromagnetic spectrum has a typical wavelength of 300nm to .1mm.  When regularly absorbed by the human body, it has shown to have numerous healing and wellness benefits which includes weight loss, stress relief and relaxation, detoxification, improved skin complexion and many more.

What should I wear for my Infrared Sauna Blanket Session?

We recommend wearing long sleeves, long pants and socks while in the blanket and lining the blanket with a thick towel to absorb the sweat released during the session.

How do I clean my Infrared Sauna Blanket?

We suggest keeping a dry towel handy to absorb the sweat during session.  After every use, wipe the blanket using household anti-bacterial spray and wipe down the blanket.  A homemade solution of vinegar with tea tree, lavender and/or thyme essential oil works great as well.  Wait until the the blanket is completely cool and dry before storing.

How do I store my Infrared Sauna Blanket?

Wait until the blanket cools down completely and cleaned thoroughly.  Make sure it is flat and smooth before folding.  We recommend storing it in the infrared blanket bag or in its original box if bag is not available.  We recommend storing the blanket in a cool area, away from any heat and moisture.

Can I travel with my Infrared Sauna Blanket?

Yes, your Infrared Sauna Blanket is easily foldable and can fit under a bed, into a suitcase, or in a car. If traveling to a different country, please adapt to the appropriate voltage and connector type.

What is "Red Light Therapy (RLT)" and how does it work?

Red light Therapy (RLT) is a therapeutic technique that uses low wavelength red light to penetrate deep into your body's cells to stimulate healing, improve your skin's complexion (i.e. reducing wrinkles / age spots, stretch marks, scars, redness, and acne), improve hair growth, and aids in wound healing.  As your body absorbs the natural and healing light rays, it activates the body's mitochondria which are the cell's energy generator.  The energy produced by this process provides these wellness attributes provided by red light therapy (RLT).

Is Red Light Therapy safe?

Red Light Therapy is a non-toxic, non-invasive treatment, and is free of harmful UV rays, so it is completely safe for all skin types and doesn't harm your eyes.  Unlike tanning beds or other potentially damaging treatments, red light therapy delivers beneficial and healing light.

Should I wear eye protection?

Eye protection is not required or necessary.  However, it is not recommended to look directly at the LEDs as you may feel some discomfort.  Your eyes typically become accustomed to the light so you may open them as long as you are comfortable.

Why can't I see all the LEDs working?

Near-infrared light is outside of the human's eye visible spectrum.  It cannot be seen, however, there is a slight glow that comes from the LEDs especially in dark conditions.  If you are concerned, then you can test it this way.

Can I wear clothes during the Red Light Therapy session?

Sure! As long as the area that you need to be treated is uncovered.

After each session, it's advisable to have a dry towel nearby to absorb any perspiration. Sanitize the material parts of the mat with a nontoxic wipe or spray, and use a hand vacuum to clear dust or debris from the mesh areas housing the crystals. Ensure the mat is fully cooled and dried before storage.

Frequency of Mat Cleaning:

How many Letters of Medical Necessity do I need to obtain?

Each Letter of Medical Necessity can cover multiple qualified products and is applicable to purchases. Prior orders can be reimbursed subject to rules set by HSA/FSA providers.

How long does the Letter of Medical Necessity last?

Each Letter is valid for 12 months before it needs to be renewed.

How do I pay?

You can keep purchasing the same way you always would. Upon approval, Truemed then provides the documentation to submit with your reimbursement claim to your HSA/FSA provider. You can either submit claims individually or all at once at the end to the year.
